Parks Volunteer Network Meeting
Friday 23rd May 2008, 10.30am – 12.30pm, Mount Smart Stadium, Auckland.
Are you a manager of volunteers in Parks?
Are you a parks volunteer who would like more say in how volunteer programs operate?
This is an invitation to join the newly reformed Parks Volunteer Network for our first meeting in May.
This meeting will act as a networking opportunity for all those involved in the management of volunteers in parks in Australia and New Zealand. All are most welcome.
The focus of the meeting will be:
- Introducing the PVN to those in New Zealand and Australia not involved in the past;
- What directions it should take in the future;
- Potential projects for the network;
- How New Zealand and Australian volunteer managers can become involved; and
- Presentations describing projects being carried out by volunteers around New Zealand, followed by discussion on lessons learnt along the way.
The meeting will take place 10.30am – 12.30pm at Mt. Smart Stadium in Auckland. In order to get our Australian colleagues not attending the conference also involved, there will be an opportunity to dial-in for part of the meeting.
