5th International Biennial Parks Leadership Conference

22 to 24 May 2012 - Adelaide, Australia

We are pleased to announce 'Parks Beyond Boundaries', the 5th International Biennial Parks Forum Management and Leadership Conference, to be held in Adelaide, from 22 to 24 May 2012, at the National Wine Centre of Australia. Our local host and conference partner will be the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, South Australia. 

As we look to the future, it becomes clearer that a sustainable natural environment is an issue not only for those with stewardship responsibilities for our parks, but the wider community beyond park boundaries. We now have an emerging understanding of the importance of looking beyond our boundaries, and parks agencies are expressing this through a number of initiatives. 'Parks Beyond Boundaries' will showcase these initiatives, covering issues such as joint management of parks and lands, landscape scale/connectivity conservation, and a raft of new approaches to engagement with the community, the private sector, the NGO sector and other stakeholders.
