Parks Forum members work together through our Promoting Parks, Nature and Health Standing Committee, to communicate our key messages and share ideas and products. By working together, we are maximising the use of our resources, and streamlining information to avoid repetition.

World Parks Day

One of the big events each year which we co-ordinate is Parks For Life: World Parks Day held in September each year, this initiative is designed to provide a focus for communicating our Healthy Parks Healthy People message to the community, and sharing our message with organisations which promote similar philosophies about the importance of parks to the health of our society.

Healthy Parks Healthy People Resources

Parks Forum members share a number of Healthy Parks Healthy People documents, which are stored in our resource database. These documents are available only to members. They include planning documents, program and event ideas, and marketing materials.


International Congress 2010

1200 participants from 37 nations attended the Healthy Parks Healthy People Congress in 2010. This ground breaking event explored the many ways nature and parks significantly contribute to our nature and wellbeing. To find out more about the 2010 Congress, please click here.
