Director Park Operations

CENTENNIAL PARK AND MOORE PARK TRUST
Location: Paddington, Sydney 
 
Provide high level leadership and management of the Park Operations Group responsible for the majority of the $750 million Centennial Parklands' built and natural assets, risk management, environmental and heritage management and the provision of operational services for millions of Parklands visitors each year.
 
The position holder provides strategic and high level reviews and advice on park operations, heritage, and built and landscape asset management and represents the organisation to external bodies and at public forums. 
 
Responsibilities
 With intense public sport, recreational, educational and entertainment use of the urban Parklands, the main challenges faced by the Director Park Operations are:
* To provide consistently high quality service standards within resources and meet the expectations of the Director and Chief Executive, Trust, the Department and other government agencies and the community.
* Managing the Groups activities across a diverse asset management and operational services base and shared service delivery arrangements i.e. staff, contractor and licensee arrangements such as for building and infrastructure maintenance services, arboriculture, horticulture and environmental services, waste and cleaning services.
* With the majority of maintenance and services delivered through contract or consultant arrangements, ensure procurement and contract management practices are in line with the NSW Government’s guidelines.
* Responding to increasing demands of parklands sports, recreational and events users through the provision of timely, efficient and effective maintenance support services. This includes developing and leading a client focused approach to delivery of these services.
* Managing the performance and development of staff to enhance organisational productivity and ensure employee and public safety and satisfaction.
* Determining efficiency savings, increasing productivity and methods of generating revenue including for the Foundation.
* Maintain a corporate culture that is characterised by programmed and planned maintenance, risk awareness, best practice principles and customer focused service delivery. 

Full-time, Total remuneration package: $158,522. Package includes salary ($133,318 - $143,654), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Regional Chief Rangers

Lead a Park Operations section to effectively and efficiently deliver high quality park management services on a region wide basis that respond to the department’s priorities and policies to achieve strategic and sustainable tourism and visitor services, education, conservation, cultural heritage and Indigenous and other socio-economic outcomes for the Territory. All five positions will report to the Director Park Operations.

Deputy Chief Rangers

Deputise for the Regional Chief Ranger and coordinate significant Park Operations support and assigned service functions across a region. Manage significant parks or park groups within a region to effectively and efficiently deliver park management services relating tourism and visitor services, education, conservation, cultural heritage and Indigenous and other stakeholder partnerships. All five positions report to a Regional Chief Ranger.

Director Tourism and Visitor Services
Executive Contract Officer 1 (Total Remuneration Package of $168 351) Parks and Wildlife - Palmerston

The Northern Territory Parks Service is undergoing a major revitalisation to more effectively deliver important conservation, tourism, recreation and Indigenous development outcomes for the Territory. This is your opportunity to be part of the team that will lead the Parks Service though this process, and to develop and implement innovative approaches to park management and development.

The Director of Tourism and Visitor Services will be a dynamic and innovative leader who is able to build strong partnerships to deliver high quality environmental and cultural tourism and recreation experiences on parks. They will play a leading role in building the contribution that parks make to economic and social development in the Northern Territory, and in building the contribution that tourism can make to park management and conservation. They will have high level communication, interpersonal and consultation skills across a culturally diverse environment.
