Peter Hillary has also skied a new route 900 miles across Antarctica to the South Pole hauling a 440 lb sled. Ed and Peter Hillary are the first ‘two generations’ to climb Everest and establish new routes to the South Pole. Peter has been on over forty expeditions around the world, he has climbed the Seven Summits and ascended the Ganges River from the ocean to the Himalayas where they climbed two unclimbed peaks.  His most recent films are “Surviving Everest” in 2003 by National Geographic and “Fearless” in 2005 by the Outdoor Life Network. His favorite destination is the Himalayas of Nepal where he supports education, conservation and health programs. Peter has four children.
