Hugh Logan
Hugh Logan has also been a member of New Zealand's system of citizen park advisory boards, in Canterbury, New Zealand, headed the New Zealand Antarctic Programme from 1988 to 1991, and worked in senior management roles in the Department of Conservation (New Zealand's protected area management agency) finishing as its longest serving Director General and CEO from 1997 to 2006.
From 2006 until January 2008 he was head of the Ministry for the Environment. Besides being a founding member and Trustee of the Parks Forum, Hugh has participated in international Antarctic and protected area forums, including IUCN World Congresses and WCPA congresses and forums.
