Since commencing with BCC in 1994, Margaret has worked in sport and recreation planning and development, instituted structural change management, formulated new functional areas in community facility planning, and developed award-winning recreation activity and participation programs.  In her current  policy and strategy role she is responsible for:   

• Strategy and policy alignment within the Council on the range of values provided by the public estate
• Engaging the community in biodiversity conservation and open space planning
• Finalising and strongly advocating for the delivery of the Brisbane Open Space Strategy
• Influencing key government, business and community leaders and decision makers regarding     biodiversity conservation and strategic open space planning and management.
